Our over 55s homes are self-contained apartments exclusively for those over the age of 55. They’ve been specially designed to allow people to live independently whilst giving them peace of mind and the security of a trained on-site manager or telecare system.

Each apartment has its own living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and is monitored 24 hours a day, either by the on-site manager or by an emergency alarm call service.

New residents are expected to be able to live independently, although these homes may also be suitable for those who may benefit from additional support from other agencies such as care providers.

These schemes aren’t designed for people who need the type of care provided by a rest home or a nursing home.

+ Shared Lounge

The shared lounge is a great space for residents and is often the heart of the scheme. It's available for all residents to use for social and recreational events. It is mainly up to residents to decide which kind of events and activities they wish to arrange, but the on-site manager is always happy to help and advise. The day to day management of the lounge is looked after by the on-site manager and residents can reserve the lounge for specific events, provided this does not inconvenience others.

+ Guest Room

A guest room is provided for relatives or friends to stay in for a short period. The guest room can be booked via the on-site manager, and bookings should be made as far in advance as possible. A small charge is made for using the guest room.

+ Laundry

Free laundry facilities are provided in all of our Over 55s developments; this is a great facility for residents and means you don't have to bring your own washing machine with you when you move in.

+ Telephone

Our over 55s developments all have telephone wires connected to each apartment so it's easy for residents to set up a landline account with their preferred phone company.

+ Decoration

All of the shared areas are decorated regularly by us. Residents are able to make themselves feel at home and decorate their own apartments in the way they prefer.
